About Us
The Friends of Mead Road School (FMRS) are a team of parent volunteers who work closely together to fundraise through memorable events for the children. Our only aim is to help enrich their time at Orion Mead Road School through the fundraising we do. Click here to visit the school website.
Our co-chairs and treasurer are supported by a trusty group of parents who consistently lend a hand or an idea, either behind the scenes, in the run-up to events or on the day, setting up and helping ensure events run smoothly. These parents play a very active but less time-consuming role in our team, and are an essential part we are very grateful for.
We're a small but mighty team and are always looking for support from new parents. If you'd like to help, please contact us or come say hello, we'd love to get you involved in our next event.
Who we are
We are led by our co-chairs and treasurer.

Co-chair and treasurer
Hannah – Oak mum
Hannah is the heart of the FMRS team. She’s been heading things up for several years, creating countless magical experiences for the children of Mead Road. Her eldest has now flown off to primary school, while her daughter is in Oak — so we’re not quite ready to think about the end of summer term just yet!

Co-chair
Gemma – Willow mum
Gemma has a little one in Willow, and another two who are in primary and secondary school. Juggling three lots of school admin is a full-time job in itself! Gemma has been involved with Mead Road on and off for almost 10 years and loves the sense of community that the school brings.

Co-chair
Becci – Willow mum
Becci has a son in Willow and another little one hopefully joining in 2027. She’s relatively new to the ins and outs of school life, but has loved becoming part of the Mead Road community. She’s happiest when she’s making, organising or thinking up ideas. She loves helping create fun and memorable moments for the children.
